Welcome Home Cottage A House Plan

Welcome Home Cottage A is 1 of 4 accessibility house plans that uses 32” wide doors for passage and provides opportunities for various accessibility needs.  For example, a small deck at the side could serve as a landing area for any ramps or lifts which may need to enter through the larger sliding door there.

The Owner’s Suite has a large sleeping area and provides a bathroom and closet that is wheelchair accessible.  The other Bedrooms are amply sized with 8’ closets and semi-private access to the bath. This smaller home is designed to be very economical to build and can serve as a great starter home, a home for us older folks, or especially for those with accessibility needs.

Finally, this home qualifies for the Veterans with Special Needs program which will provide a complete home drawing set free of charge to any Veteran who served in America’s armed forces or Community protection services (police, fire, emergency) and were wounded as a result of that service, causing them to need a home with accessibility features.
