I named this house plan after my cousin Timmy Shane who, like me, is a hard core patriot of our great country. That is why the square footage of this home is set to exactly 1776. This home design features great American features like Craftsman details and appointments on the front entry, as well as opportunity for trim work throughout the home. There is a fireplace with shelves on each side, a large cased opening between the Living and Dining, a smaller cased opening over bar seating, and a very small cased opening leading to the bedrooms “hidden” at the front. All of these cased openings are opportunities for trim work of your choosing and will collectively result in a very home-like feel throughout the floor plan.
This is a single level floor plan with no more stairs than your site requires to get you to the entries. At only 43’ wide, this plan allows site room for a drive to the garage at the back of the home. Not only do I love not having garages at the front, but having the garage at the back of this home allows great outdoor space for those “All-American pastimes” like basketball, grilling, or having a catch! Oh say, can you see it?
Finally, this home qualifies for the Veterans with Special Needs program which will provide a complete home drawing set free of charge to any Veteran who served in America’s armed forces or Community protection services (police, fire, emergency) and were caused to need a home with accessibility features due to injury in the line of duty. See the Home Page of this site for more information.
