Brick Courtyard House Plan

For those that love a brick home, this is the house plan for you!  Besides some accent stone and some shake in the gables, this home is covered in brick.  A unique feature for this home is the use of the “courtyard space”.

There is always a “wrestle” with what to do with a “courtyard style” home.  That is, where the garage is perpendicular to and forward of the home.  A type of “courtyard” is created in this scenario that is, most often, ignored or given little attention.  Not with this great design!  By adding a brick relief backdrop on the large garage wall, the courtyard area is set up to receive a fountain or landscape and patio.  The large stone covered front porch looks directly out onto this area causing the entire front of the home to be a wonderful place to be.  Further, the bonus room overlooks this courtyard as well.  A unique Office/Guest is just off the breakfast/kitchen area and will serve those that work at home very well.  There is great opportunity for enjoying the back yard, but if your lot has a front view to enjoy, this brick courtyard design will certainly be the home for you.
